How can I get this font in MS Word? The PDF says LaTeX type SKT font, but I am unable to get that font anywhere.
You can download SKT/Sanskrit LaTeX fonts here. /tex-archive/language/sanskrit There is a download link for the full package, or you can download individual fonts in the list (scroll down on that page to see the list). The pdf you mentioned seems to use Computer Modern Serif.

However, the font was not designed by Knuth, but is a copy of a font called Squirrel (a serif). If you're willing to try it out with a few fonts I have in my own collection, it might work. How do I set this up? I had the .ps file and all it did was change the font to Squirrel and delete the original MS Word file containing just the Sanskrit characters.
