Is there an online platform providing PDF copies of various kinds of reliable music sheets for piano classical songs and all other types of music?
Yes. I have great difficulty in reading sheet music. However, I recently studied Scriabin’s Sonata No. 5 in F-sharp Major and am currently preparing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor for a concerto competition early next year. I have a decent ear and work my ‘you-know-what’ off everyday in the practice room. I dream of being a stronger reader someday and put those dreams to action through practice. I love classical music and have an unyielding desire to play these pieces for which I have such an emotional, exhaustive passion. Having perfect pitch and synesthesia – both of which I’m grateful for – goes a long way for me in many musical situations, but advanced classical piano is a whole other animal. It just wasn't feasible for me to learn Rach 2 last year by ear. If you can read or have the opportunity to learn reading skills and just don’t want to take the time to do so, please give it a shot. If you just aren’t wired to read like me, that’s one thing; but the classical piano world was built in mind with sheet music being its public infrastructure. Reading is an important exercise that, if practiced well, will unlock a great deal of the musical universe for you both now and down the road. Finally, here's some examples of how I mark up my scores. I believe that these additionally evidence how my reading has improved over time (the last 12 months) through practice. Rachmaninoff 2 - Fall, 2016. marked up every note in pen; it took hours to transcribe a single page of the music. Scriabin No. 5 - Spring, 2017. Used colored pen again; this time, marking up most notes – except for the ones that I could memorize on the spot. Lastly, Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 - Summer/Fall, 2017. My approach changed this time. I used pencil instead of pen for my annotations. I really only wrote in notes that were absolutely essential - to identify main patterns and sequences; otherwise, I'd just focus on the fingerings, memorize on the spot, sleep on it, then try again in the morning. The final picture above is currently the most heavily marked up section of the piece (about midway through the Cadenza). Things are actually going really well with this piece so far!
