Type on PDF: All You Need to Know
While Microsoft's Windows platform is the most ubiquitous way of viewing a PDF file, there are some alternatives. To get this to look pretty you can use a program called “Adobe Illustrator,” but this isn't very portable to use with an alternative PDF reader, such as Firefox. The third option, a program called “previewer,” is free and provides a very smooth viewing experience. I used it to view an email I could download to my iPhone on a Wi-Fi connection. The email had an embedded PNG image file that was being viewed on my screen, but didn't have any text or borders. I then set a timer to display the email for 90 seconds, at which point it opened for you, showing you the PNG image, while you viewed the PNG image on your screen. As you view the PNG, the embedded image, and the text, it is apparent.
